Love this place!! So many great options and all so tasty. The vibe was small bakeshop and the service was friendly but very gen Z feel haha. Def would come back!
This has been on my to try list for a while, they did not have hologram boxes at the time, but oh well. I ordered a ube eclair and a thai ice tea eclair. Ube eclair: Very good, not too sweet, good ube flavor, fluffy pastry. Thai ice tea: Very good strong thai ice tea flavor, tons of cream, definitely in the sweeter side. But still good. Overall: REALLY good asian inspired bakery, the food was fresh, fluffy, good flavor, will be back again.
There are so make great bakeries in NYC, but what is so special about Supermoon is the creativity in their baked goods. The baked goods change from time to time as well, so always something new and exciting to try here. We ordered the Spicy NYC Croissant ($7.50) and Kouign Brulee Croissant ($7.50). I wished they listed the price, but the person helping offered to answer any questions you had. Even though the space was small inside, they have a couple outdoor tables in front. The Spicy NYC was my favorite with a chili cream cheese inside and everything seasoning sprinkled on top. The cream cheese needs to be spread out a bit more evenly, but flavor and texture was on point. The kouign brulee one was similar but with a sweeter cinnamon flavored cream filling inside. Everything looked and tasted delicious. I will definitely be back to try more items, especially the focaccia pizza. This is easily a favorite bakery of mine.
An absolute gem. As an ex NYCer I have a few places that are MUST GO places when I return. Supermoon is one, and I drag whoever is with me there as well. I was on a long hiatus from NYC so I headed here early: only a few people before me in the small space, and pretty weather outside to eat my treats. Got taken care of with a smile and as always, service was the kindest. The treats are perfection: ube is the star with overfilled, creamy dreamy purple ube custard sweetened to the point of almost being too sweet. The eclair shell is a crunch chew spectacular and the meringue on top: the ultimate snack. Please ship, ILYSM.
A bakery that's been on my "to visit" list and happened to be in the area so I had to drop on in. This place did not disappoint! From their filled doughnuts to éclairs, I was completely satisfied! Had I not been in a food coma already, I would have made ordered a few more pairs pastries while I was there! Will definitely come back here again!
Came close to closing so there wasn't much selection left. I got a strawberry lemon croissant and it was so delicate and unique. Pricy though ~$8.50 for one croissant
I was that obnoxious customer who walked in and asked to be blown away but the people at this bakery were quick to help out! I received recommendations for the passion fruit donut and the strawberry cheesecake danish and Cho's ethos asparagus danish for a mix. All three were perfect. They were baked perfectly and had very good balance of flavors. The passion fruit in the donut was the best one I've had so it was my standout. This spot is not a sit down place you grab and go but all the pastries stayed in tact for an hour whilst I commuted home. Definitely would come back and probably will!
The ham & cheese croissant (5/5 stars) was the best croissant I've had in America! Perfectly flakey with the right amount of crispy cheese. I enjoyed the ferrero rocher cruffin, but the fillings were a bit too sweet for me. I found them on this blog article: https://devourtours.com/blog/best-croissants-nyc/?cnt=US
This place has hands down become one of my favorite bakeries in all of New York. I'd had this bookmarked for so long but hadn't been able to go since I'd heard that they quickly run out of baked goods if you don't come earlier in the morning. I ended up going around 2pm on a Saturday and while they had run out of a lot of their pastries, I was still able to snag their last ube eclair and also got the blueberry/rosemary croissant. I've never had a flavored eclair - honestly I don't think I even really like eclairs - but I got this one because honestly if there was only one left, it must be one of their best pastries. The ube flavor worked so well with the eclair and it was so much better than a regular eclair because of the ube. It wasn't soggy at all, to my surprise, despite having been laid out in the display for a whole morning. The blueberry croissant was also amazing - I loved how the filling in the croissant didn't detract from the perfect flakiness of the texture.
